Laurie Cohen and Alexa, Chief Mompreneur and Director in Charge of Smiles!

Celebrationz4U.com combines the knowledge  the  mother of three, grandmother of seven, entrepreneur, party planner, entertainer and talent agent with an English Web Developer & WordPress Guru and the experiences of a seasoned writer & mom of three young sons.

Using the experiences of each of these three women, four web sites were launched that offer a unique and easy way for you to find and shop for all life’s celebrations.

On the pages of our sites, you will find product information and party planning ideas for baby showers, new babies, baptism, christenings, B’nai mitzvahs and baby namings, birthdays and graduations, Halloween, 4th of July, Sweet 16th, Engagements and Weddings.

How it Began…

The four websites began to form in 2007, when many of my friends encouraged me to share some of my life’s experiences on the web. That’s when I developed ForBrideAndBaby.com filled with some of the most unique ideas for Weddings and Babies that the web has to offer. I have also added some comments to personalize your experience and lots of information to to help you know how and what to do.

Next came, BirthdayPartyKidz.com — a site to help you find and compare everthing that’s out there for children’s birthday party supplies.

The third site came from watching my husband and my seven grandchildren enjoy Halloween! HalloweenKidz.com is filled with costumes, wigs, props, candy, decorations and ideas for the best and safest Halloween ever!

A Little More about Laurie Cohen, Owner, Developer, Chief Momprenuer

A little more about me: I have been an entrepreneur for over 30 years. Twenty years ago, I was the owner of Northbrook, Illinois based Kreative Kids and Parties, Inc. where I taught music and imagination classes to local children ages two through five. I also created a music and imagination class that I performed at children’s birthday parties. Kids and their mom’s still run up to me on the street and tell me I sang at their parties or at their children’s parties!

From those parties came a personalized entertainment service selecting and contracting over fifty entertainers for parties. Several years later, I opened a complete party goods store providing the party goods and goody bags for children’s parties and favors and centerpieces for weddings, bar mitzvahs and other parties. Though on its third owner, Kreative Parties is still a prominent business in the Northern Chicago suburbs.

When I am not at my computer, I can be found with my husband of nearly forty years, one of my three daughters or three sons-in-law or doing my most beloved job… being with one of my seven grandchildren! I’ve planned my three daughter’s weddings, many luncheons and showers and hundreds of children’s birthday parties, so it’s no wonder I know how to cater to the needs of busy women and executives.

Drop me a note and tell me what you think of the site. I welcome your comments, good and bad. So please, contact me.

Celebrationz4U Welcomes Our New Creative Editor!

Pam Laughlin

Creative Mom Editor

Pam has been working for Celebrationz4U.com since 2008 and has really shown her talent and creativity in writing about some of the crafts and activities she does with her boys.

Here’s a little about Pam, in her own words:

“I have enjoyed working as a technical writer in the Corporate World for over 15 years for major companies such as AT&T, Bristol Myer Squibb, Citibank, Bear Stearns, and many others. I left the “hustle and bustle” of the corporate world in August of 2009 and began freelancing at home so that I could spend more time with my three children.

My Three Sons include my oldest (Sam) who is nine, and my twins (Jake and Luke) who will be six next month. I have heard the craziest things come out of my mouth, like “Jake stop biting your brother’s toenails”, and other silly, crazy things. I am so happy that I decided to work from home so that I can be there for the important school events and volunteer my time for classroom activities and STILL be able to work on interesting and exciting projects and meet people from all over the globe.

It has definitely created a better balance for me and my family. I no longer sweat it when I get to work and see the red light flashing on my voicemail only to find out that I need to turn around because one of the boys has an ear infection and I’m going to miss yet another important meetings.  Looking at a lot of online sites for mompreneurs, I was especially lucky enough to meet Laurie Cohen who has taken me under her wing and taught me tons of new things like Twitter and FaceBook and SEO and Keywords and Wordpress and the list keeps growing….. which is just fine with me!

I just love this new site and I am telling everybody I know about it. As mothers we all love throwing our children birthday parties. Every year, I say the same thing at the end of the party, “I’m never going to do this again.” And then I start planning the next one a couple of months later. I’ve faced the fact that I really, really love throwing a great party. The parties take a lot of planning and to be able to find one site to find great party ideas, products, crafts, favors, decorations all broken down by theme is really exciting. It sure takes the pressure off of running around like a crazy lady just days before the party. Laurie even has a checklist to keep you on track. I don’t know about you, but I like taking advantage of Laurie’s years of experience as a party planner. It really takes the heat off.”
